Spiritual Direction in Mahtomedi, MN. A Sacred Space to Listen for God Together
A quiet invitation to a deeper connection with God
Sometimes the noise of everyday life makes it hard to hear the still, small voice within.
Spiritual direction offers a space of intentional listening and reflection where you are invited to slow down, notice the movement of God in your life, and discern how you’re being invited to grow in love, in trust, and in authenticity.
Unlike therapy, spiritual direction is not focused on fixing problems or diagnosing emotional pain. Instead, it is about gently attending to the presence and activity of God, and accompanying you in your spiritual unfolding.
What Is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual direction is a centuries-old contemplative practice in which one person (the director) accompanies another (the directee) in listening more deeply to their spiritual life.
You might seek spiritual direction if:
You’re longing for a deeper connection with God
You’re discerning a major life decision and desire spiritual clarity
You’re feeling spiritually dry or distant from God
You’re navigating grief, loss, or transition through the lens of your faith
You want a consistent space to reflect on where God is present in your everyday life
You’re exploring contemplative practices or seeking spiritual depth beyond religious performance.
Spiritual Direction Is Not Therapy
About Me as a Spiritual Director
I am a Certified Spiritual Director trained through the Christos Center for Spiritual Formation, a two-year program grounded in contemplative Christian tradition and ecumenical openness.
My approach to spiritual direction is spacious, grounded, and attuned to your unique experience of the Divine. I offer a nonjudgmental presence, deep listening, and a gentle invitation to explore how God might be speaking in the ordinary and extraordinary moments of your life.
I welcome individuals from all spiritual paths, including those with no formal faith tradition. My own background is shaped by the Christian contemplative tradition, and I hold space for those who are exploring, questioning, deconstructing, or reconnecting with their spirituality in whatever form it takes.
